For better energy saving and easier maintenance
Light-in-the-pipe type of UV wastewater disinfection systems comprise of UV lamps inserted in protective sleeves and are to be immersed into the wastewater to be processed. The units equipped with fluororesin protective sleeves do not need any moving element such as automatic wiper because of the stain-resistant properties. The maitenanceability of the UV systems has been improved dramatically by utilizing the characteristics of fluororesin: (1) Anti-stain effect and (2) light weight. Fluororesin protective sleeves are very hard to break and thus have no risk of letting contaminants and broken fragments flow out into process water. Also, our UV wastewater disinfection systems are equipped with a 360-degree UV intensity sensor, which is capable of monitoring the germicidal performance for the entire UV system alone, and electronic ballasts with dimming capability, which can achieve major energy saving by dimming the UV lamps when the flow rate is small.
