Chlorine-resistant pathogenic organisms inactivating system
(PMI-UV) "CYSTLIZER" SDW series

UV disinfection system with low pressure UV lamps for municipal waterworks

State-of-the-art UV disinfection system for municipal waterworks

"CYSTLIZER" SDW series is developed based on the UV disinfection technologies we have aquired through the diverse projects we have been involved, such as municipal wastewater, COD reduction, and water purification at food/beverage plants. The SDW series can be flexible to fit against various requirements and situations and is capable of inactivating chlorine-resistatnt pathogenic organisms, including Cryptosporidium and Giardia. The safety and reliability of water for drinking can be dramatically improved by introducing the SDW series to your facility.

Technical benefits

"CYSTLIZER" SDW series

High output UV lamp unsusceptible to varying water temeperatures

Amalgam UV lamps are very stable in germicidal performance with high UV outputs. Changes in water temperature have little effect on the lamp's germicidal performance.

Fluororesin-coated quartz sleeve

UV lamps and water running inside reactors are separated by quartz sleeves. Our quartz sleeves are coated with fluororesin for anti-stain and anti-impact effects.

360-degree UV intensity sensor

Our proprietary UV intensity sensor with 360-degree light incident angle solves issues typically entailed with conventional UV intensity sensors, by removing the necessity for the calibrations caused by UV degradation and significantly improving the sensor reading reliability.

In conformity with the guideline for water seapage prevention of Japanese waterworks law

The SDW series is validated through leach tests specified by Japanese waterworks law

"Test on industrial material properties: Notification #45 of Ministry of Welfare on Dec 23, 2000"
Test lab: Pharmacists test center of Chiba prefecture
Sample #: △64-8,066~8067
Test result:―――――――――――――――――――――――――――
Fully satisfies the ministerial ordinance on technical standards for waterworks facilities (Ordinance #15 of Ministry of Welfare in 2000).

Automatic wiper for cleaning

The automatic wiper for cleaning the fluororesin-coated quartz sleeve can operate in wide range of flow rates. It is driven by a highly reliable motor and protects the surface of the quartz sleeves for the UV lamps and the UV intensity sensor.

UV disinfection system with medium pressure lamps

For the efficient treatment of large flow rates at municipal waterworks with a fewer number of UV lamps

Chiyoda Kohan's medium pressure UV systems can be the most suitable choice for large scale water treatment facilities because of the disinfection capability with a reduced number of UV lamps when comared to low pressure UV systems.

Technical benefits

● Small number of UV lamps for high flow rates

● Polychromatic UV spectrum for more effective inactivation of microorganisms
